Zach and I finally made it back to Provo. We love our new apartment and ward. We were able to move in Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and Zach's brother, sister-in-law and mother drove down from Idaho to help us move in. Thanks Josh, Crystal, and Stacy! It was so nice to have all of the help because we are once again on the third floor. Zach organized everything and cleaned while I was at school on Monday so we are all moved in and organized. We really enjoyed living so close to our families this summer, but it is SO nice to have all of our own things and our own place again.
In addition to moving in, I have also started law school. I started an MPA last fall, and will graduate with a JD/MPA in 2010. That seems like a long time from now, but I am sure the time will FLY by. I have a carrel, which is convenient but also a sign that the school basically expects (and demands) you take up a second residence in the library. I am loving my classes so far and have met a lot of great people in just two short weeks. I am sitting in my carrel right now and should be reading about criminal law, but decided I needed a little break. Zach starts the junior core on Tuesday, so we will be super busy once we are both in school. I know he is excited to get going, as I am sure he has been bored sitting around the house waiting for me to get home from school everyday this week.
I don't know how exciting posts will be for awhile because I will spend most of my time studying; however, I will try to post as many of the random Provo stories I encounter as they come. On that note, I have one. Zach and I were walking downstairs in our apartment building when we stumbled upon an awkward situation. One grown man was lying on his side on the landing of the second floor, with another hudled over him. On closer inspection, we realized that there was a fire over the man on the ground's left ear. (He was laying on his right side.) We walked by and they muttered something about a "science experiment." Likely story, but school has not started anywhere except the law school here. And we don't have science experiments. We think they were trying to drain earwax, but two grown men doing it together? Weird. Zach thinks they are gay and said he had seen some sketchy behavior from the pair of them. I'm not sure. But it was definitely an awkward situation.

Water Adventures
It’s been about a week since my last blogging experience. But I have an experience to share. Two, actually. Last Saturday, Zach wanted to go white water rafting with a friend who shall remain nameless. We had been with my sister, her husband, and said friend a few weeks earlier, but the friend wanted to go again. And so we went…again. For those of you from Idaho, white water rafting is something we do here. There are a plethora of rivers from which to choose, and all provide hours of fun. We decided to do the Payette River again, complete with its class 3 rapids. Everything went well…for about five minutes. At that point, we realized the river was WAY lower than it had been only weeks before which meant more rapids. As we went over the first pass of rapids, said friend’s wife fell out ON THE ROCKS and got sucked under the raft, despite her life jacket’s best efforts. Then friend, who was the udder, also fell out ON THE ROCKS. My husband couldn’t paddle because he was holding onto friend’s wife, so it was me and the other girl trying to paddle our way to safety. Talk about an adventure. The rest of the trip remained as exciting, and we were glad to be OFF the river a few hours later. It was fun, but never again will I attempt to do that with two boys, three girls, and a guide who actually just a friend that likes to float rivers. Was it worth it though? Yes. We Idahoans think we can do anything.
Speaking of which, we went to the lake the other night. I had an itch to ski, and so we went skiing. As we were getting out of the water, a man was trying to get his boat onto the trailer. Well instead of ease it slowly on up, he gunned it over the side and it ended up stuck on the cement ramp. How white trash is that? It was so funny though. This guy was an IDIOT. So they finally get the boat off of the cement, and then he backs it up slowly then reverses it full speed into the dock. Luckily no other boats were around. There were about seven in the water watching, but no one was injured by this idiot. And you’d think after the first utter disaster the guy would have turned the boat off. Alas, he still insisted on driving it on the ramp. Welcome to Idaho, where boating can be totally white trash.

The first OFFICIAL blog
Okay. So the first one was technically a test. This is the Real Deal. Zach and I just got back from an amazing weekend in McCall. My sister owns a condo there, so we got to go use it for the weekend (Shout out to Allyson and Loren). I LOVE McCall. Everything is laid back and relaxing. We've been working hard all summer to save up for school this fall, so it was nice to get away and spend some time alone. We had fun going on long walks, swimming, taking pictures, and eating. Anyways, it was a great and much needed weekend getaway.
On a separate note, I just got back from the mall. I got Zach a pink Polo Oxford dress shirt and two ties. I got a square paisley plate. Pretty exciting. Unfortunately, the shopping kept me out a little later than anticipated and I didn't get in my evening run with Zach's dog, Duke. Duke was a little on the heavy side (like 150 pounds heavy) when we moved to Caldwell for the summer, so I started taking him running with me. He loves to go, and is slimming down. Love that dog. Oh well, I'll go on an extra long run tomorrow to make up for it. I guess that's it for now...
